Two parents have filed a lawsuit against a Harrisburg private school after one of the teachers allegedly cut a student's hair without her permission.

According to the lawsuit, a teacher at St. Margaret Mary School cut a piece of Velcro out of the girl's hair in music class on Nov. 17, 2023. The child had kept her hair long "as a part of her family religious beliefs in correlation with allowing natural features attributes provided by God to grow naturally," the complaint says.According to the complaint, the girl's parents emailed the school the same day of the incident. The complaint claims that the school never responded.According to the complaint, the school promised to follow-up and never did.
