Man accused in college student Jillian Ludwig's shooting death has first court appearance while she was out for a walk near Belmont University's campus at Edgehill Community Memorial Gardens Park.

She was transported to Vanderbilt Hospital after being shot in the head, where she died from her injuries. She was 18 years old. The suspect, 29-year-old Shaquille Taylor, is facing felony murder and a felony charge of tampering with evidence. A grand jury indicted him with the charges on March 6, months after Ludwig's death.as the public learned Taylor had been released from custody earlier that year for an aggravated assault charge with a deadly weapon because a court ordered he was mentally unfit to stand trial.Rep.
