Dallas ISD superintendent Stephanie S. The district is ready to welcome 140,000 students as they embark on a new journey for the 2023-2024 school year.

DISD’s budget is based on a projected enrollment of roughly 137,500 students – a decline of more than 1,700 children from this year. Meanwhile, districts are running out of time to use federal pandemic relief dollars and are contending with lower attendance rates, which impacts the amount of funding they receive.
