Washington After a rough week in which she spent three days defending a proposed funding cut to the Special Olympics only to be later openly reversed by the President, Betsy DeVos said Friday that she's still happy to be education secretary.
DeVos was asked if she's glad to be in her position during an interview on stage at a summit sponsored by the National Review Institute in Washington, DC."I am indeed. Yes," she replied, as the crowd laughed -- but then added,"Most days I am."DeVos appeared twice on the Hill this week to defend her budget proposal.

Been tough on her because she is an advocate of Charter schools so she has been targeted with hate, protest & attacks. All she is trying to do is find create ways to improve the education of our children. Disagree with her but at least understand she is seeking the same outcome

Outside off fulfilling her long outstanding work experience requirement, she just wants to make sure public education dies. Then they can determine who gets what level of education. Its GOPs plan to control knowledge.

Lots of Special Olympics organizations in the USA. Lots of voters with ties to SA. SA is supported by US Law Enforcement. Lots of votes there too. Either no thought went into the Trump administration’s original position or he is just mean. Amateurs.
