7 "The Horse" Is The Head Of A Gang In New Orleans And He's Parish's Most Powerful Character Although The Horse is shrouded in a veil of mystery throughout Parish episode 1, a little about his role in the series is revealed, including the fact that he is the head of a gang in New Orleans. The Horse is an immensely powerful character that has connections in many different corners of New Orleans and beyond, making him an incredibly intimidating force.

5 Gray Was The Getaway Driver For A Heist That Stole Passports He Was Unaware Of What They Were Stealing Upon successfully completing the heist, the gang realizes that the safe simply contains a duffel bag, but nobody knows what is inside it. One of the gang members looks in the bag, but Giancarlo Esposito's Gray Parish doesn't even want to know, with him trying to be involved as little as possible.

3 Parish Accidentally Becomes Involved In The Gang There Is No Longer A Way Out After seeing the man get killed, Parish knows that he has to get out, or else he will become as embroiled in the criminal underworld as he was in the past. Gray originally attempted to do this by not wanting to know what was in the bag, although the gang showed him the passports anyways. Upon getting paid by The Horse, Gray tries to turn down the money, but The Horse explains that nobody works for free.
