Benjamin Vaicekauskas, 16, will cycle 240 miles across Lithuania with his father to meet his £3,000 goal

A 16-year-old pupil from Nottinghamshire has launched a fundraiser ahead of his trip to Cambodia, where he will help people in disadvantaged villages. Benjamin Vaicekauskas, a Year 12 Carlton le Willows Academy student, will cycle 240 miles across Lithuania with his father to meet his £3,000 goal.

He said: "I would really like this opportunity to take part in this trip because I would like to be a doctor in the future and seeing people still becoming ill from water diseases in the 21st century concerns me. Cambodia is a country that is heavily affected by climate change, meaning that tropical storms and flooding occur often, washing away houses.
