KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government takes a serious view of the incident involving the death of a male student at the Lahad Datu vocational college hostel last Friday and has urged the police and the Higher Education Ministry to conduct a detailed investigation into the case.

KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah government takes a serious view of the incident involving the death of a male student at the Lahad Datu vocational college hostel last Friday and has urged the police and the Higher Education Ministry to conduct a detailed investigation into the case.

"This is important so that unwanted incidents like the one in Lahad Datu do not recur," he said in a statement here today. "The school and the State Education Department must take disciplinary action against students found guilty and not compromise with misbehaviour, particularly in cases of bullying and violence involving school students," he added.Last Friday, a 17-year-old student was found dead with signs of bruises and injuries on several parts of his body at a vocational college hostel at 6.50 am.
