District Police Chief, ACP Dr Rohan Shah Ahmad, said the hostel mates believed Nazmie was responsible for the disappearance of RM50 and RM35 from two students.“We have detained 13 students of the college aged between 16 and 19 to assist in our investigation,” he said.
Police have obtained statements from 12 witnesses, including four hostel wardens, security guard and several students.Police also carried out urine tests and found all the suspects free from drug abuse. “We are waiting for the full report of the post mortem conducted on the victim from the Lahad Datu Hospital Forensic Department to identify the cause of his death,” he added.
Following that, 13 students were detained to assist in investigation of the case that have been framed under Section 302 of the Penal Code. The MOE said that it will not compromise with the misconduct of bullying in all educational institutions under its management.
