Sat, March 23rd 2024 at 2:49 PMA beloved science teacher's farm was damaged when severe weather swept through the state earlier this month, and the Westerville community is stepping up to help.
The farm, however, sustained severe damage from tornadoes that ripped through parts of Ohio including in Licking County earlier this month. Westerville City Schools said that right after the storm, Morckel thought it was the end of the farm. Once the storm passed, however, the community rallied together to lend a helping hand to the Morckels. Westerville North High School principal Kurt Yancey said in a media release that a student came to him asking if it was possible for the school to host a field trip for students to help clean up the farm.
