A school bus carrying pre-K students and adults crashed with a concrete truck, resulting in fatalities and injuries. The crash occurred during a field trip to the Bastrop Zoo. Emergency services evaluated 53 patients at the scene.

A Hays CISD bus carrying 44 pre-K students and 11 adults from Tom Green Elementary School crashed with a concrete truck on State Highway 21 in Bastrop County, resulting in at least two fatalities and multiple injuries.

The crash occurred during a field trip to the Bastrop Zoo. The concrete truck veered into the westbound lane and struck the front of the school bus. A passenger vehicle also collided with either the bus or the truck. Emergency services evaluated 53 patients at the scene.
