Congress — particularly the House — will, on a bipartisan basis, eat the Secretary’s Special Olympics proposal for lunch.”

Expect the current govt bureaucracy running the special Olympics to possibly be exposed to fact one report stated up to 80 % of tax dollars are for those in charge not for athletes and events. The athletes are not given priority just the patronage groups endless paid junkets

As a special olympics coach, the joy that these games bring to kids is unbelievable, they love unconditionally and their smile and joy are contagious to all who participate. The games will continue but this act is outrageous.
She donated a portion of her salary last year to the Special Olympics and believes it is best funded by Philanthropic entities. It is not that she doesnt believe it's a popular or worthy cause. Do you really think it will end if the govt doesnt fund?
