Lakers star LeBron James seems to be pulling for upstart Duquesne, coached by his former high school coach Keith Dambrot, in this year's NCAA tournament.

LeBron James is a longtime supporter of the Ohio State basketball team. The Buckeyes, however, did not make the NCAA men's basketball tournament this year. James' oldest son, Bronny James, plays for USC, but the Trojans' season ended with their 70-49 loss to Arizona in the Pac-12 tournament quarterfinals last week. Nonetheless, James still has a rooting interest during March Madness.

He filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against Central Michigan citing a too-vague policy against discriminatory language, with every Black player on the team joining the suit in support of their former coach, the Cleveland Scene reported in 2000. Unable to find another job in coaching, Dambrot became a stockbroker and started running a youth basketball clinic at a Jewish community center in Akron.
