On Wednesday, the Governance Committee met to review these requests. A proposal was first made last July by District 2 Councilman Jalen McKee-Rodriguez. "The idea is to commit public school teachings to school districts for a certain period of time and in turn, we would help alleviate the barrier of cost in their home-buying journey," said McKee-Rodriguez.
