A Malaysian grad student who recently completed his Master's finally landed his 1st job. While that is a cause for celebration, the grad student is not so

With the minimum wage still set at RM1,800, many Malaysians are still struggling to survive until the end of every month. When you’re just 3 years away till you reach 30, do you think you can make it with a monthly salary of less than RM3,000?

The man was well aware of how much he would be earning before he took on the role as a recruiter and admitted that he initially wanted to reject this job offer. However, desperate times call for desperate measures.Times are tough, he had no choice but to hop on the recruiter position because he couldn’t stay unemployed any longer, and planned to work in the time being while trying to see what’s next.

“You’re just unlucky. The lucky ones have flown abroad and worked there. Sometimes, you can’t just survive locally. My buddy is selling biscuits now to make a living.”
