In a plan by the Morrison Government, school teachers will be encouraged to ‘instill Australian values’ and to teach their students about the political process in Australia. Former Queensland premier Campbell Newman says there is a real need for a civic course in the school curriculum, as many people have ‘no idea’ how the system works and confuse the responsibilities of each form of government.
