Court filing comes months after an Emery High School security guard’s arrest in sexual assault case.

EMERYVILLE — A high school student has filed a lawsuit against the Emery Unified School District alleging that officials knew a security guard accused of sexually assaulting her had a history of inappropriate behavior with other students but failed to act.

According to the lawsuit, Parham, 21, began grooming Doe in September 2023 by complimenting her appearance and touching her waist, thighs and butt while on school grounds and in front of other students. “She just feels betrayed by a number of people. She’s losing trust in those she once trusted but people in general too,” Boskovich said.
