The bloodbath on March 13, one of the worst mass shootings in Brazil’s history, comes as new President Jair Bolsonaro begins to loosen restrictions on gun ownership. Janaina Mattos Alves, 36, who is seven months pregnant, lost a son last year. Her son, Jhonata, 16, died when a Rio de Janeiro police officer shot him in the face while he was on his way to a party store to pick up supplies for his younger brother's birthday. The most restritive laws against guns in the word!!!🤨

I'm Brazilian. I've read the whole article and I couldn't find a single line about the guy who entered the school and helped to keep one of the perpetrators pinned down...? A good person with a gun save lives. An evil one, kills.

An episode that can be rare in Brazil, but not in the world. How come people keep playing around the idea that guns make people safer? It has never been this way and will never be. These arguments are not only irresponsible but dangerous and criminal.

LEAKTHEREPORT
