Moroka Swallows will be playing against the University of Pretoria in the round of 16 of the Nedbank Cup. Swallows have had a difficult start to the year after parting ways with their coach and failing to win any of their league matches. However, they managed to secure a win in the previous round of the Nedbank Cup. Their opponents, AmaTuks, have been in good form and recently defeated Cape Town Spurs to advance to the round of 16. Swallows and AmaTuks faced each other in the promotion play-offs last season.

Swallows FC coach Musa Nyatama looks set to continue in the head coaching role for the foreseeable future. Moroka Swallows shift focus to the Nedbank Cup aa they host the University of Pretoria in the round of 16 on Wednesday evening. It's been a shaky start to the year for Swallows since parting ways with coach Steve Komphela, as they have failed to win any of their four league matches.

The side's only win came in the previous round of the Nedbank Cup when they Platinum City Rovers on penalties after it ended goalless after 120 minutes. Swallows come up against a Motsepe Foundation Championship side once again in AmaTuks, who have been in form after winning three of their last four league encounters. AmaTuks advanced to the round of 16 after defeating top-flight side Cape Town Spurs 1-0 at the Tuks Stadium. Swallows and AmaTuks met in the promotion play-offs last season, with the former claiming a 1-0 win to help preserve their top-flight statu
