David White was working in a 'Covid Hub' for primary 3 and 4 pupils in January 2021. During that time he was found to have held and 'rubbed the hands of pupils', and placed his hands 'on the chair seat close to the pupils’ bottoms'.

A Renfrewshire primary school teacher has been struck off the register after he inappropriately touched pupils while teaching during the coronavirus pandemic.

While the teacher confessed to several of the actions, he denied a number of the allegations, including that he got a child to straddle his legs and "placedhis toes under the stomach" of another pupil near his hips. He has now been removed from the registration following a hearing by the General Teaching Council for Scotland which ruled he was unfit to teach. The panel found that he had "shown limited insight and remorse" following the allegations.
