Parents who have applied for their child's first place at school still have a bit of time to wait before they know which school they will attend.
Then parents will hear back about the school their child has been placed at in April, usually via email and/or letter. The exact date and time of those emails and letters can vary from council to council. It also says that some councils allow parents to view their results through an admissions portal or system on their website. It will then go to an appeal panel and parents are advised to accept the place they were given while they appeal and join the waiting list for their preferred school.
