- A student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida has died in “an apparent suicide,” police said on Sunday, less than a week after a 19-year-old survivor of the 2018 massacre at the school took her own life.
“We’re calling it an apparent suicide because we don’t have the exact results back from the medical examiner’s office,” Reik said by phone. Aiello was a senior at Stoneman Douglas when a former student with a semi-automatic rifle shot dead her friend Meadow Pollack, the family said.

Our children have been suffering like this since Columbine, and as a nation nothing has changed but the rhetoric.
This wouldn’t have happened if they’d taken her guns away.

If your child has PTSD as a result of trauma from surviving a gun massacre it should follow you would do everything in your human power to keep guns away from them. Imagine how loved and valued you’d feel if your parents didn’t do this. Not tragic. Criminal.
