Seth Buckton's mother would get calls from the school about her son’s behaviour on a daily basis, but a year on and a program later, his attitude has been revamped.
“I used to be shy around everyone” but the program “helped me open up” and “change for the better", he said.Seth joined the program along with a group of school friends who were often caught "mucking" around.Seth plans on completing his HSC then going to TAFE or university, with a dream of becoming an architect.
"From my perspective, we just want as many kids as possible to finish school and get their HSC," he said. A year ago, Ms Hayes would have said she wanted her son to “get out and learn about the workforce, but now, I think the sky's the limit for him”.
