However, in cases where no candidate garners a majority, the top two contenders will advance to a runoff election scheduled for May 28.
It’s worth noting that while the Democratic and Republican parties hold primary elections, the Green and Libertarian parties employ a different approach. These parties opt for a selection process involving a series of local conventions starting from March 12, culminating in a state convention, the details of which each party is expected to announce by the aforementioned date.
