Brett Cross, guardian of Uvalde shooting victim Uziyah Garcia, was arrested this Monday morning at the Uvalde County Commissioners meeting.
The Uvalde Police Department officials confirmed that Brett Cross, guardian of Uziyah Garcia, was taken into custody just after 10:30 a.m. following a verbal confrontation with Uvalde County Commissioner Mariano Pargas during the county commissioner's meeting. "We got a phone call that there were 8 to 9 students still alive in that classroom and you walk the @#$% away," Cross said."My child is @#$%^& dead. DEAD! And you have the gall to stand up here in front of everybody," said Cross, but was then approached by officers already in the courtroom and escorted outside where he was placed into custody.
