The Department of Education in the Philippines has announced that the end of the school year 2023-2024 will be moved to May 31, 2024, allowing for a gradual return to the old school calendar. The school break will also be adjusted to take place from June 1 to July 26, 2024.

The decision aims to shift the school calendar back to the usual April to May break in the long term.
