Austin Angels (National Angels’ local chapter) and City Limits Subaru surprised a University of Texas San Antonio student at the Austin Marathon Sunday morning

Austin Angels and City Limits Subaru surprised a University of Texas San Antonio student at the Austin Marathon Sunday morning with a new car.

Abel Marron Rodriguez is currently a freshman at UT San Antonio, and was formerly a foster child. At the age of 15, he became involved with the National Angels’ Dare to Dream mentor program and received tremendous support from his mentor. Prior to the surprise, Abel relied on public transportation to travel between Austin and San Antonio to attend classes and visit his family."I can't even describe it," Rodriguez said. "Austin Angels has been there with me from the start."

The goal of Austin Angels is to encourage people to take on any role in the foster child community that they feel they can fit into, whether it's foster parenting or just showing their support for foster children.
