Sydney school shut for a week due to asbestos-contaminated mulch

The authority today confirmed Penrith Christian School in Orchard Hills and St Luke's Catholic College in Marsden Park have also tested positive for the presence of asbestos overnight.St Luke's Catholic College in Marsden Park has tested positive for asbestos-contaminated mulch. NSW Department of Education Secretary Murat Dizdar said St Luke's had to close as there were 30 cubic metres of mulch provided that was spread throughout the campus.Dizdar added the International Grammar School and Westmead Christian Grammar School were both cleared of asbestos overnight. 

The Olympic Park has also been cleared of asbestos ahead of Taylor Swift's shows in Sydney next week, EPA chief executive Tony Chappel said.with open arms and the hundreds of thousands of Swifties we expect to enjoy her sell-out performances," he said today.
