A guidance counselor at Mobile's Faith Academy has been charged with 'failure to report' in relation to last September's indictment of a teacher at that school.

Yesterday, the Mobile County DA's office announced that guidance counselor, Carrie Meredith, is being charged with one count of "failure to report", a misdemeanor, for allegedly not reporting suspected sexual misconduct between a student and a teacher.

As for some people who may look at this who have mug shots in their past, Blackwood says this is a law and a process that has seldom, if ever been used locally.
