Thompson, a Rehobeth graduate, has been part of Bulldogs athletics since June of 2017, when Geneva County hired him shortly after finishing his degree at Auburn University.

Geneva County head football and boys basketball coach and athletics director Josh Thompson resigned from his duties, he confirmed to News4 on Tuesday.HARTFORD, Ala. - Geneva County head football and boys basketball coach and athletics director Josh Thompson has resigned from his duties, he confirmed to News4 on Tuesday.

With the football team, Thompson served as head junior varsity coach in 2017 before taking over varsity duties as offensive and defensive line coach for the Bulldogs from 2018-2021 under then-head coach Jim Bob Striplin.
