SAN ANTONIO - A local teenager was arrested at his high school Wednesday on capital murder charges for the shooting deaths of a young father and son outside a W

by SBG San Antonio Staff ReportsJoshua Castro, 18, has been arrested for capital murder in connection with a double homicide that occurred at a convenience store in December 2023.

Castro is accused of taking part in the robbery and shooting deaths of Raymond Ancira Sr., 34, and Raymond Ancira Jr., 15, at the Circle K on Potranco Rd. on Dec. 6, 2023. "Toledo and Castro were collaborating to rob them from the beginning," said Officer Nick Soliz of the San Antonio Police Department. " to rob these victims for their firearm, which was later found to be in the possession of one of the suspects via their social media."

According to the affidavit, Ancira Sr. fell out his car door onto the ground after getting shot while sitting in the driver's seat of his 2016 Dodge Charger. Raymond Jr. stumbled inside the store and collapsed. At the same time, the suspects started rummaging through the father and son's car before taking off.Police got a search warrant for Toledo's social media and then got a warrant for his arrest.
