That's why I don't believe in public schooling, no matter how 'safe' you try to be, it ain't gonna happen. Not with that many people. Plus kids are evil these days anyway. It's better just to keep them separate. homeschooling RIP bullying victims
We had this training at our school. It was beneficial. Yes, staff could choose to not participate. Honestly, with type of training, I felt like I really knew what it’s like to be under pressure and how hard it can be to barricade a room or try to get out.
I live in the UK so honestly, i don't get it... I understand the drill, horrid though it is to us here, becuse we do 3 fire drills a year, job done... but why practise being shot, is it thinking you won't be so terrified in the real thing? Because it bet it would be worse. .

Sheriff deputies using pellet guns in an emergency drill in a school is ludicrous. Injuries from the pellet guns was justified because there was advance notice and participation was 'voluntary' is a lawsuit in the making.
And then they went and shot some dogs. It was a good day.
It was a stupid idea to use something that hurts bad enough to be used for crowd control before deadly force.

Oh no. Welts and bruises. They will never be the same. Hell. I grew up with welts and bruises daily from the nuns, my mom, my grandparents, my friends, my neighbors. I harbor...wait for it...ZERO hard feelings. It's called growing up and not being a pussy.
Its sad that we even have to live in a world, that has to run an active shooter drill.
The consent would need to be specific as to possible injuries and be in writing !

Weren’t they asked to NOT tell the next batch of victims, I mean teachers, what happened? How could they know?
That was a terrible idea! When pellets injure teachers, it's a bad idea!
Imagine how the real one feels
