However the high jinks have, for the moment, come to an end as university bosses failed to see the funny side of student romps during their Halloween event. Bosses at the Newcastle university say they will be interviewing everyone who signed up for the October 26 Halloween social to get to the bottom of exactly what happened.A statement on behalf of Northumbria University and Northumbria Students' Union said: 'We are aware of an allegation of improper behaviour involving members of one of the Northumbria Students' Union societies.
'Following an initial meeting with the Students' Union and the Society Committee, all society events have been paused while an investigation is underway and we work towards a satisfactory resolution - please be assured it is out priority to deal with this as quickly as official processes allow and I will update you as soon as possible.'
