ROCKY RIVER, Ohio -- Rocky River City Schools Superintendent Michael Shoaf has provided the following statement for “Building a Safer, Stronger Future for Rocky River Schools.

“The district is committed to understanding what more could have been done to prevent these situations and is taking appropriate actions to minimize the chances of this behavior occurring again. Student safety and welfare are of utmost importance to us. “Throughout the various stages of recent investigations, we have prioritized regular communication. We have also actively sought community input in the development of our new strategic plan, welcomed community members to share their perspectives during Board of Education meetings, and encouraged students and parents/guardians to utilize the anonymous Safe School Helpline to report any suspicious behavior or incidents.
