The District 207 school board will pick the next superintendent before the year ends. Current superintendent Ken Wallace will retire at the end of the school year.

The Maine Township High School District 207 Board of Education is looking to narrow its search for a new superintendent and make a selection next month. Ken Wallace, who has served as superintendent since 2009, previously announced his plans to retire at the end of the school year. At a special board meeting Oct. 16, Donna Leak, an associate with District 207′s search firm SchoolExec Connect, told the board she anticipates five candidates for the first round of interviews.
