MORNING BRIEFING: The NSW election leaders' debate sees the Opposition Leader struggle with questions on education, while an alleged JB Hi-Fi break-in goes wrong, with one man suffering serious injuries after falling through the roof and another on the run.

Last night, NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian and Opposition Leader Michael Daley held their final debate ahead of Saturday's poll, with Mr Daley struggling to explain costing details on key policies.Mr Daley had difficulty with questions about education and TAFE spending.

Of the 100 undecided voters, 50 per cent said they would throw their support behind Ms Berejiklian and 25 per cent behind Mr Daley, while 25 per cent were left undecided.Meanwhile, NSW Treasurer Dominic Perrottet stood by something he said during a 2015 speech — that governments spent too much money on climate change policies.

He argued that Australia was not getting good enough results to warrant how much money the former Labor minority government spent on climate action.
