Harrisburg's mayor is forming a task force in the wake of recent violence around children.Three children — ages 3, 11, and 13 — were wounded in a shooting on Sunday.A teen is accused of firing a shot at officers who were searching for a suspect in that weekend shooting.Following those two incidents, city leaders have a lot of questions.'What went wrong to this point that led a 16-year-old to shoot at officers?' city spokesman Matt Maisel said.
Most importantly, they want families to participate.'No one knows what's going on inside someone's house better than the parent, so if there's something wrong inside the house or something wrong on the block, let us know. We can help,' Maisel said.The first meeting is set for 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Nov. 29 at City Hall.'It is a leap of faith, in a way.
