Speaker Mike Johnson sent an email this week in an effort to fundraise but grabbed attention for seemingly mistyping a common phrase.

“I refuse to put people over politics,” the email read in a bold, underlined font."Which is why I need your help. Republicans have been tasked with getting this country back on track, but the clock is ticking.

So far, the House passed two spending bills including a separate bill to fund Israel and its war against Hamas in Gaza. With these bills, the legislative branch as well as the Department of Interior, Environment, and other related agencies will be funded.
