A BN lawmaker has sought an explanation on the policy of accepting holders of the Unified Examination Certificate for the undergraduate degree in education programme offered by teacher training centres.
"Therefore, the Education Ministry should explain the facts behind this matter," she said in a statement yesterday. The PISMP specialisation course enables SMA/SMU certificate holders to teach Islamic studies in national schools, and UEC holders to teach Chinese in national-type schools. Teo's Facebook post had attracted mostly negative comments, with many criticising the government's purported recognition of UEC, and some urging Putrajaya to shut down Chinese schools.
This YB from Parit Raja looks decent, but never expected her to be so negative. I'm trying to refrain from using the term racist, which I think she's not.
I've just watched the PASKAL: The Movie. See how the various races worked together to produce such a great movie every Malaysia can be proud of? Jangan sikit2 R+R+R. That's not the end of the world. I would advise ALL MALAYSIANS to go watch the movie. Syabas to the crew.💪💪
I may or may not be a supporter of UEC. But we advise YB from Parit Raja to please do her homework & use her bloody brains before opening her big gap. Contribute something that will Make Malaysia Great Aqain (MMGA).
Sometimes I don’t understand how the ministry’s communications can be so poor. Netizens questioning on your post and not even a response from TeoNieChing. Ends up KJ was the one coming to your defense.
Ask Rais Yatim what's his problem with UEC. Fact is, if Najib Razak used his BN manifesto for GE-14 to approve the use of UEC in the government system, why are the Malays in Pakatan Harapan blocking it?
