York Regional Police say Jannah Jaffri was taken from Armadale Public School at 11 Coppard Avenue, in the McCowan Road and Steeles Avenue area, sometime before 3 p.m.
Investigators say school staff told them that Jannah was taken by her father, identified by police as 25-year-old Soloman Jaffri, from a classroom in the school.Police say Solomon is not supposed to have access to his daughter."We want to find them and figure out what is going on here.""People can expect any minivan style taxis in that area, we are going to be stoppin ."
The young girl with brown skin stands about four feet tall, investigators said. She has light brown shoulder length hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a pink sweater, a white tank top, grey leggings, a navy blue coat and a white sparkly unicorn backpack.He has short brown hair and a tattoosaying “Jannah” on his right arm.Anyone with information is asked to call police at 1-866-876-5423, ext. 7008.
