A STUDENT has been stabbed at a Romford college today sending the college into lockdown as police swarmed the campus.
Part of Havering College's Harold Hill site has been cordoned off after a teen was found with stab wounds.Witnesses claimed the youngster was stabbed in the neck while in the library,One parent, who has a child at the college said: “My son told me it happened in the library. “They said he was stabbed in the neck. I just wanted my son to get out of there as quick as possible.A Metropolitan Police statement said: "Police were called at 12:22hrs on Tuesday, 19 March to reports of a stabbing on Tring Gardens, Romford.
"Officers attended alongside the LAS and found a male, believed to be in his late teens, suffering a stab injury. "He was taken to a nearby hospital and his injuries have been deemed not life changing or life threatening.A Havering College spokeswoman said: "We are aware of an incident outside our Quarles Campus in Harold Hill earlier today. As this is now a police investigation we are unable to make any further comment."
