The Illinois State Board of Education released its annual report cards Monday, revealing, for the second straight year since students returned to full-time, in-person learning, improvements in test scores and English and science proficiency across Hinsdale Township High School District 86. Its sister school, Hinsdale South, was designated Commendable, with an 84.2% graduation rate, a 3.4% decline year-over-year, according to the ISBE.
Both schools showed improvements on their SAT English Language Arts scores since last year, but have yet to meet the average scores achieved prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, according to the state’s report card. The report card also showed a slight decline in student enrollment at Hinsdale Central, and a slight increase at Hinsdale South, overall the district’s 3,854 enrollment declined by 44 students in the last year, continuing a trend of incremental losses.
