A former bus driver for a Cumberland County school district showed a 15-year-old student a photo of his genitalia, bought them nicotine vapes and was trying to entice them into sexual acts, according to state police.
Over the course of 11 days, Meeks sent text messages the 14-year-old said were “creepy,” state police said. The teens eventually started meeting him at a gas station where he bought them nicotine vapes, state police said. The teenager also recorded some of her conversations with Meeks, according to state police, which showed Meeks speaking with her and her friend outside the gas station.
When South Middleton School District became aware of the allegations made by the teenagers, it informed Meeks of them and suspended him. Meeks then called state police’s Carlisle station multiple times until he reached Trooper van Scyoc, who was investigating the incident, on Oct. 24 at around 7 p.m.
Police charged Meeks with corruption of minors, unlawful contact with a minor, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and indecent exposure for his interactions with the South Middleton School District students, according to state police.
