Secondary schools will only be open for S4 – S6 with similar arrangements to last month’s strikes – except for Àrd-sgoil Ghàidhlig Ghlaschu – which will be closed to all pupils.

Glasgow pupils in year groups S4-S6 will still be able to attend school despite the ongoing industrial action taking place tomorrow.

Ahead of the strike, Douglas Hutchison, Executive Director of Education at Glasgow City Council, has written to parents and carers to inform them that all council nurseries, primary schools and ASL primary and secondary schools will be closed to children and young people. UNISON Branch Secretary and Chair UNISON’s Scottish Local Government Committee Mark Ferguson said: “No one takes the decision to strike lightly.
