Law enforcement in Maine is providing an update on the manhunt for Robert Card, the suspected gunman in the shootings that killed 18 people on Wednesday night.

The press conference is expected to begin at 5 p.m., and police and local officials in Lewiston, Maine, will brief the public on the latest details of the investigation.At a briefing earlier on Friday, police confirmed that they had received 530 tips overnight about Card's whereabouts and were investigating various scenarios, including that the suspected gunman may be dead.

The Maine Department of Public Safety has stated that it will be holding a news conference every morning, providing updates about the investigation, at Lewiston City Hall until further notice.
