The collision took place near Nottingham Trent University tram stop and police are now appealing for more information

A tram stop was closed and a busy junction cordoned off by police after a man was seriously injured in a hit and run. The incident took place at 2.50am on Friday, October 28 in Nottingham city centre.

The car then left the scene and Nottinghamshire Police have now launched an appeal to try and trace the driver.Detective Inspector Paul Shortt, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “Officers were called to the junction of Talbot Street and Goldsmith Street, in Nottingham, at 2.50am today following reports of a hit-and-run collision. One man was sustained a serious leg injury and was taken to hospital.
