The heartbroken family of water polo coach Lilie James, who was found beaten to death at a school in Sydney’s CBD, have broken their silence to pay tribute to the “vibrant” and “outgoing' young woman.

Her family have issued a statement, saying they are “devastated and heartbroken by the loss of our beautiful Lilie James”. “We are tremendously grateful for the support of the community at this difficult time,” the statement read.
