Letters to the Editor

Readers are happy for the Texas Rangers; don’t believe a judge can avoid gay weddings; respond to columnist losing her land; and question how will school vouchers be checked for fraud.

If Judge Dianne Hensley and others want to fight for their right to exclude people when they perform marriage ceremonies, I suggest getting a Universal Life Church ordination so they can choose to marry whomever they want privately, leaving their official office for the professionalism required.Judge Dianne Hensley is claiming it is against her religious convictions to marry same sex couples. I would just like to point out a few things.

I submit that people using this argument are really using the Bible and religion to cloak their own personal prejudices.Re: “Texas taking my land for an unneeded lake — Fellow ranchers and neighbors are fighting government’s use of eminent domain,” by Deborah Clark, Friday Opinion.
