I do not care about accused college-admissions fraudster David Sidoo’s reputation. He was probably just like any parent who wants the best for their children.

This article prompts a question. I make no accusations, but I ask, would it be unfair to conclude that the artifacts were planted by someone opposing the pipeline?Speculation tax not fair to foreignersThe speculation and vacancy tax unfairly touch those foreigners who have made great sacrifices, put their lives on hold, and moved to Canada to raise and educate their children at great expense.

Three decades ago, in another province, I helped a candidate. As I was putting together lawn signs, I overheard the candidate’s daughter tell a friend that if her parent won she wouldn’t have to worry about finding a job. I was discouraged to think that this young person might expect a constituency office job or an appointment to a board. It soured my enthusiasm for political involvement.

And then they deny it. POS.

If you took the time and drilled down it’s likely we would learn that Sidoo uses the same cheating “money under the table” ways in his business life. So when the occasion allowed for him to buy, pay and cheat his kids in to better schools he did it without a moments thought..

Scumbags! !

I am so proud of my kids who earned their own way into university and graduated high in their classes — and paid their own way. Nothing raises self-esteem so well ... these cheating parents robbed their children of that accomplishment.

You'll note that his lawyer didn't come straight out and deny he did it in his public statement but instead focused on Sidoo's philanthropy. With that kind of response, I think he did it but I will wait to see what the courts decide.
