Suspect allegedly threatened to use AR-15 to commit 'mass shooting' at University of Arizona

TUCSON, Ariz. — Police have arrested a 27-year-old man who allegedly threatened to use an"AR-15" to commit a"mass shooting" at the University of Arizona campus.

The messages warned there would soon be"mass tragedy and atrocity at the UofA." Investigators believe the messages specifically targeted the university's fraternity and sorority members. Another message referenced the upcoming 10th anniversary of the crimes committed by Elliot Roger, who killed six people near the University of California-Santa Barbara campus in 2014.
