Cooking Culinary Adventure: inspired by Halifax's Seaport Market | SaltWire #cooking #cookingshortsLIVERPOOL, N.S. — Liverpool and the surrounding areas are in for a transformative change as a new sports field, Mi'kmaw learning trail and improved coastline protection are on the horizon.

A collaborative effort involving the provincial, federal and municipal governments has pooled together nearly $2.75 million for a restorative project. The Liverpool community sports field will undergo a remarkable facelift, featuring a brand-new synthetic turf soccer field, and the addition of a 400-meter gravel running track. This project also covers the installation of fencing and lighting for added convenience. Additionally, a Mi'kmaw learning trail will be established, fostering an inclusive outdoor educational environment.

In addition to these upgrades, approximately $1 million from the provincial and federal governments will be directed towards fortifying two vulnerable segments of Shore Road in Western Head, protecting against shoreline erosion and flooding. "These investments will ensure the community has access to modern, inclusive, recreational infrastructure and roads that are built to withstand today's climate events," said Public Works Minister Kim Masland.
